For the last swipe this year, we headed to Milan<\/span>. The Hard Rock Cafe Milan<\/strong> was my 228th UNITY visit. The weekend trip from 2nd to 4th Decemeber I got from my girlfriend as a birthday surprise. How she handed me the “gift”, was quite funny. Our flight to Milan took off on time from D\u00fcsseldorf airport at 12:05. The flight time was 1:20h and so we landed on time at Milan Bergamo airport. Since we had only hand luggage with us, it went for us quickly to the exit. With the bus for 12 \u20ac per person we drove into the city to our hotel. More about this below under tips.<\/p>\n

Visit No. 228 – Hard Rock Cafe Milan<\/h2>\n

We booked a table a few days before arriving at the Hard Rock Cafe for 6:15 pm on Friday evening, our first day. We had a table downstairs near the Hard Rock logo on the left. The cafe has a modern decor and spans two floors. Downstairs we found it a bit garish and cold, as the chill from outside moved to the back of the cafe. The Rock Shop was located in front of the restaurant entrance. There is a variety of merchandise for men and women. The Shop has a large selection of different pins, shirts and keychains. Pint glasses and shot glasses are currently sold out.<\/p>\n

Grand Opening Pins<\/h3>\n

The two over-the-counter Grand Opening pins were also no longer available. Since they both only have an edition of 300 each, that’s not surprising for a popular big city like Milan. Thank goodness I took care of the two pins in time before the visit and was able to get them early from Marco Della Valle<\/span>, an Italian pin collector. Thank you very much for your help. I will come back to Marco later.
\nMy personal highlight of the evening: I am very happy to have been able to grab a Hard Rock Cafe Milan Grand Opening TEAM Pin<\/span> on the spot, which completes my collection<\/span><\/a> from Milan. For dinner we ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich, a caesar salad and mashed potatoes as a side order. It was delicious as always and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the food was ready. Of course, since we were already hungry, this was great on a long day!<\/p>\n

After the meal, I took a group photo with the staff on the stage upstairs where the second logo hangs! This is fun every time and I am very happy that everyone wants to be in the photo. Even two chefs came out of the kitchen and were there! Mega!<\/p>\n
